U SPEAK LIVE is about expressing what is inside a person; the art of free expression artistically!
An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way, an artist says a hard thing in a simple way. (Charles Bukowski). Everyone is an artist! The problem is: how do we maintain it?
This project is not just about selecting and training the best Poets to entertain people, we give our audience an open space for self-expression. In the “U SPEAK LIVE ” performances we interact with people, we provide an OPEN MIC and give opportunities to our audience members to SPEAK out loud what they want to speak; to RECREATE and reconnect with their being. We also conduct poetry workshops for skills building.
U SPEAK LIVE is an interactive project that connects artists with the audience. It is a space to create spoken word poetry together with a targeted group and invite them to present their work live in a given space and audience.
